We still think that enforcing Rule 8 according to its terms is a good idea – andnothing’s been developed in our legal lifetimes that’s a better way of quickly getting rid of lousy cases that should never have been brought (or that plaintiff’s counsel didn’t bother to investigate).

Agreed, there are too many technology vices out there to not keep in touch, or maintain connection with past clients. Once a relationship is established, in my opinion this should be done face to face, then from that point on a mere acknowledgement or brief response to one’s inquiry should suffice.
