LawServer.com Launches Legal Site for Consumers

A new legal resource site named LawServer.com was launched today by Steven Daily, former senior attorney for Discover Card and now founder of LawServer Online, Inc. The firm issued a nice optimized press release with lots of links to pages within the new web site.

This ambitious site aims to be a provider of legal information for consumers and small business owners, similar to Nolo or FindLaw. State codes are listed for all 50 states, plus visitors can look for an attorney by practice area and geography.

Like other online legal matching services (Injury Helpline, Legal Fish, Legal Connection, et al), attorneys can promote their practice by having an ad displayed to relevant visitors. The site's revenue model seems to be a combination of these attorney services, Google AdWords, and other services.

The site is nicely designed, easy to navigate, and designed with search engine visibility in mind. It could benefit from some additional horsepower in the bandwidth department, since response tmes were slow during my visit.

It's refreshing to see the launch of a new legal offering in today's challenging market. Best wishes to them!

Hi Margaret,
Thanks for mentioning the launch and for the helpful comments. Another legal marketing tool LawServer opens up for attorneys is the ability to showcase expertise by authoring topical or case-related articles. These provide a link to the attorney's profile, either at LawServer or at their own site. These articles can be state-specific, and targeted to users from that state. The search optimization is all taken care of, and since LawServer doesn't charge, this is marketing that can fit even a recession-sized budget.

As for the loading time issue you experienced, we are looking into it. Often loading times are caused by software code that just needs to be cleaned up, and we expect that's the source of the problem.
